The ancient art of reflexology is based on the theory that every part of the body has a corresponding 'reflex' point on the foot. Pressure is applied to the feet using specific massage techniques and this encourages the body's own healing ability to be stimulated into action.
Benefits of reflexology include

Maternity Reflexology
Reflexology helps to prepare the body for conception, and can also be successful in the treatment of sub-fertility (including male infertility).
During pregnancy regular treatments are particularly helpful, combating stress, relieving morning sickness, aiding circulatory and digestive problems.

This is a simple, safe and highly beneficial therapy which is based on the traditional form of Champi (head massage) practised throughout the Indian subcontinent for over a thousand years.
This therapy includes massage of the scalp, face, neck, shoulders, upper arms and ears, and soothes, comforts and rebalances the energy flow to produce a feeling of peace and tranquillity.

It is a wonderfully relaxing therapy to receive without the need to undress. Oils are not normally used although, if desired, the optional use of special oils will help nourish the hair roots, promoting improvement in the texture of the hair and even reducing hair loss.

The word Reiki translated from Japanese becomes "Universal Life Energy". Reiki is the vital life energy which flows through all living things and which can be activated for the purpose of healing, working on all levels - spiritual, physical mental and emotional.
Reiki goes to the deeper levels of a person's being which is where many diseases have their origin. It works where it is most needed, releasing blocked energies and cleansing the body of toxins, and activating the body's natural ability to heal itself. During a treatment the therapist gently places their hands in a sequence of positions over the body enabling you to draw the energy where it is needed. Each position is held for a few minutes. There is no pressure therefore it is an ideal therapy for the very young, the elderly or infirm and those recovering from surgery. During treatment you will generally feel a pleasant sensation of warmth or gentle tingling in the area being touched. Stresses and tensions will be released and you will be left with a deep sense of relaxation and a feeling of well-being. Acute conditions can be helped to heal very quickly, however chronic illnesses may take longer and a course of several treatments may be required. |

Also known as Indian Face Massage, this is a natural facelift through massage and is a wonderful non-invasive approach to looking younger.
This form of massage was developed by Kundan Mehta, whose husband Narendra introduced Indian Head Massage to the West.
It works primarily by freeing constrictions both within the facial muscles and in the connective tissue. The stresses and pressures of everyday living, and the repeated thoughts and emotions we experience, cause tension to build up within our facial muscles. Muscles can "dry up" and contract, inhibiting freedom of expression. This can encourage ageing and the formation of wrinkles as the face loses its muscle tone and elasticity, and begins to sag.

Although it is difficult to stave off the ageing process, this gentle massage can help extend a more youthful appearance. The precise massage techniques which I use, along with energy balancing, give the facial muscles a lift and a new lease of life.
As well as improving your appearance, this treatment will promote total relaxation and is also excellent for treating tension headaches, eyestrain, sinus problems and stress related symptoms. One treatment will have an immediate effect and is ideal before a special event or as a gift for a friend or loved one. However, regular treatments have a cumulative effect and an initial course of six to eight sessions is recommended, with further "top-up" treatments as required. The duration of a face massage is 60 to 75 minutes. Pre-Wedding courses are very popular as, in addition to ensuring you will look fabulous on your big day, the relaxation aspect of this therapy helps keep pre-wedding nerves under control. |
